Join us on March 2nd to celebrate the official release of TUPPS Trailhead American Ale and Texas Independence Day! We are raising funds for our Freedom Peak 1 program, which is training and taking 13 veterans to summit Mount Kilimanjaro this summer! This is a FREE event, however donations a greatly appreciated! We will be selling new TWK swag to raise money for our team and there will be some great live music being performed by local artists Kevin Deal, Rory Payne and Joe George, as well as a silent auction! We hope to see everyone out at TUPPS to meet the Freedom Peak 1 Team and learn more about their journey ahead! All funds raised at this event with directly support the FP1 Program.

Come show your support for The Warrior’s Keep- Freedom Peak 1 Team, as they prepare for a life-changing journey to conquer the Roof of Africa this June. We have selected and begun training 13 veterans to tackle one of the World’s Seven Summits, alongside our program partners 40/40 Adventures. Prelude Films has joined forces with TWK to produce a short documentary film of the team’s experiences through this program and expedition, which we hope will visually express the benefits of Outdoor Adventure Therapy for Heroes (O.A.T.H).

Standing at 19,340 feet, Kilimanjaro will challenge the body, mind and soul of each team member, while empowering them to overcome certain difficulties many veterans face at home, such as: depression, anxiety, societal reintegration, military transition or stress brought on from a traumatic experience. We have named this program FREEDOM PEAK 1 in honor of the tallest peak in Africa, Uhuru Peak. Uhuru is the Swahili word for freedom and it’s our hope that each participant achieves a sense of freedom while on this Tanzanian trek.

We are also beyond excited to announce the partnership with our friends over at TUPPS Brewery! Over the last few months, TUPPS and TWK have been working together to create a beer that both represents our mission and in turn will help provide funding to our Outdoor Therapy Programs for veterans. (10% of proceeds from sale of Trailhead will be donated to The Warrior’s Keep). After weeks of collaboration, TUPPS TRAILHEAD AMERICAN ALE was born and will be available in select local stores, bars/restaurants soon!!
